The gap
Most general-purpose icon libraries handle generic interface objects well. They are much weaker at culturally specific everyday objects — the things African products still need to represent clearly.
The system
V2 standardises the library around one 24-pixel grid, consistent live strokes, naming and metadata rules, so new icons can expand the set without becoming a second visual language.
The product
The same canonical set powers a searchable website, direct SVG downloads, the open-source repository, a Figma Community file and a companion Figma plugin.
The direction
Nigeria is the starting point, not a stand-in for a continent. The library grows through specific cultural references, stronger category coverage and contributions grounded in the places and objects being represented.
