The Neustack Founder Product & Growth Check.

Do people understand what you do, trust the product, know how to buy it, and can your team ship the fix? Score the four things that decide it and get the first three actions.

Before we start

Two things that shape the recommendation, not the score.

What are you trying to get done?

Sixteen questions. About four minutes. The score shows without an email.

What it measures

Four dimensions, sixteen questions.

Each answer is scored from 0, clearly broken, to 3, strong and repeatable. Each area is normalised to 100. The overall score is the average of the four. Public pricing is deliberately not scored.

  1. 01

    Proposition & brand clarity

Can a stranger say what the company does, for whom, and why it matters, and does the company look as credible as what it has built?

    • A founder you respect lands on your homepage cold. After the first screen, can they say what the company does and who it is for?
    • Does the public story describe the product as it is today, or a version from a launch or two ago?
    • Do the founder, the team and the website describe the company the same way?
    • Does the company look as credible as the value it has actually built?
  2. 02

    Product & trust

Can a new user reach value without help, and does the product earn trust at the moments that decide whether they come back?

    • Can a new user reach first real value without a member of your team explaining the product?
    • At the highest-risk moments, such as money moving, data being shared or a reputation on the line, is the product designed to earn trust?
    • Has the experience kept pace with how much more the product can do now?
    • When something goes wrong, can users understand what happened and recover on their own?
  3. 03

    Growth & path to market

Is the audience clear, is there one path from attention to action, and do all the surfaces tell one story?

    • Is it clear which audience the company is prioritising right now?
    • Is there one clear path from attention to interest to action?
    • Do you know where the journey currently leaks between first visit and paying customer?
    • Do marketing, media, content and the product itself tell one coherent story?
  4. 04

    Execution & delivery capacity

Is there one accountable owner, can decisions move without the founder, and can the team ship and measure on a cadence?

    • Is one accountable person or team connecting brand, product, growth and engineering decisions?
    • Can important decisions move without the founder personally integrating everyone?
    • Can the team ship and measure improvements on a predictable cadence?
    • When something is prioritised, is there enough senior capability to carry it through to production?

Reading the score

What a good score means.

80–100

Healthy

Compound what works. No rebuild.

65–79

Watch

Drifting. Fixable without a new engagement.

45–64

Weak

Leaking. Worth a scoped fix.

0–44

Critical

Broken. Diagnose before building.

The recommendation does not use the total alone. It looks at which areas are weak, how many, whether any are critical, the job you are trying to get done and the stage of the company. It can, and does, say that Neustack is not the right next step yet.

FAQ

Before you run it.

Who is the Founder Check for?

Founder-led technology companies and technology-enabled brands with something real in market. It is most useful when something has changed: a launch, a raise, a product that outgrew its story, or a team that cannot ship what it knows it should.

Do I need to give my email to see the score?

No. The score and the recommendation show immediately. Email is optional, for a copy of the result.

How is the score calculated?

Sixteen questions, four per area, each scored from 0 (clearly broken) to 3 (strong and repeatable). Each area is normalised to 0–100 and the overall score is the average of the four. 80 and above is healthy, 65–79 is worth watching, 45–64 is weak, and below 45 is critical.

Does the check always recommend paid work?

No. If all four areas are healthy it says so and gives compounding actions. If the company is pre-revenue and broadly early, it says Neustack is probably not the right next step yet and tells you what to fix yourself first.

Is this a scientifically validated instrument?

No. It is a practical diagnostic based on the framework Neustack uses in paid Strategy Sprints. It is designed to be honest and useful, not to produce a certified score.
